Adult Farm Camp

Why should kids have all the fun?? During this 2 day workshop we’ll tour our organic farm while focusing on pizza, garden exploration, cooking ,play with sheep, journal and just have some plain fun.
Day 1 (August 18th)
Start the day out by touring the dairy and discovering what it takes to become an Organic farm and member of Organic Valley
Then head into our kitchen and gardens to explore its wonders. We’ll harvest a variety herbs for tea, explore different vegetable dips and discover the ins and out of preserving your harvest.
After a delicious farm to table lunch, we’ll try our hands at artesian cheese making crafting our own 30 minute mozzarella and yogurt comparing farm fresh milk and store bought milk using simple equipment you would find in your home.
Then we’ll fire up the clay over and dive into the fine art of pizza making starting with grinding our own grain and of course making our own toppings like pesto! In between, raising the dough and dinner there are barn chores to be done. Campers love bottle feeding the calves.
We’ll end the day by warming ourselves by the fare, listening to night sounds and socializing until the flames die down. the evening off with a traditional camp fire and evening activities.
Day 2 (August 19)
Ease into the morning with gentle yoga while you listen to morning farm sounds. Or choose to go on an early morning walk looking for wildlife . Or maybe, check out the barn chores.
Then working together as a team we’ll create a delicious brunch using only the freshest farm ingredients. Who knows maybe will throw in a farm game or two.
Next we’ll explore our flock before trying our hands at needle felting.
Our weekend comes to a end with a circle of reflection and friendship
Remember, there is always flexibility in our schedule to explore your personal interest during the weekend.
